God called me into ministry development after graduating from Calvin College in 1992 - first as the development director for the Northern Michigan Christian School Association, then as the Partnerships Manager for a missions agency, the Christian Reformed World Relief Committee and its affiliate Partners Worldwide. Then in 2003, God opened a door for me to launch Money for Ministry, allowing me to serve a wide variety of exciting ministry organizations with communication and marketing tools to help them grow.
My passion for ministry and stewardship extends beyond work hours. I've led "Maximize Your Money God's Way" seminars in area churches, created a personal finance web site, and hosted a blog in cooperation with Treasure Principle author Randy Alcorn's office to facilitate discussion about the challenges of following Jesus with our money in middle class America.
I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan with my wife Beckie. God has blessed us with 5 kids - three sons, and two daughters through adoption with the help of Bethany Christian Services. We've also had the privilege of hosting three international foster kids who came to the U.S. for heart surgeries - two through Healing the Children and one through Samaritan's Purse.
